DeckCraft lets you build slides with reusable masters and themes instead of formatting each page by hand. It has shapes, connectors, animations, speaker notes, and a presenter view for delivering a talk. The project says it can open and save PPTX files and export slides to PDF.
ArtCraft has installers for macOS, Windows, and Linux, as well as a browser build you can host yourself. If you trade decks with PowerPoint users, check fonts, layout, and animations on the files you actually use.
