Overview
Open CAD Studio is a free Rust CAD app for desktop and web. It reads and writes DWG and DXF files, supports 2D drafting and 3D solids, and saves browser drawings back to your device.
About
Open CAD Studio handles technical drawings with commands, object snaps, layers, blocks, dimensions, and paper-space layouts. It also has solid modeling tools for extrusion, revolution, sweep, loft, and Boolean operations. DWG and DXF files can both be opened and saved.
The browser version opens local drawings and lets you download edited files without an account. Desktop releases are available for Windows, Linux, and Apple Silicon Macs, with extra support for printing, native plugins, and automation. Keep backups of important drawings and test exports on work that must round-trip cleanly.
