Overview

Remnus lets coding agents maintain project pages, decisions, architecture notes, and boards, then gives teams a workspace to review and update them.

About

Remnus connects to coding agents in a project and turns their work into a readable workspace with an overview, architecture notes, decisions, a backlog, and risks. Agents can keep those pages and boards current as work continues. Teammates can review, approve, edit, or roll back agent changes, with activity recorded in an audit log. Remnus works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Windsurf, ChatGPT, and other MCP clients. It is open source under AGPL-3.0 and can be self-hosted. The coding agent reads the repository on the developer’s machine, while Remnus receives the notes, decisions, and status the agent writes into the workspace.

Good for

  • — Keeping project documentation current as coding agents work
  • — Reviewing and approving agent-authored project updates
  • — Using several coding agents with one shared project workspace

Limitations

  • — A coding agent must be installed and connected to each project
  • — Remnus stores the notes and status written by the agent, not the repository itself
  • — An account is needed to use the hosted workspace
